"Trio And Texture"

"Trio And Texture"

Beautiful pinkish, orangish tulips framed against a deep blue sunny day sky,
with some perfect lighting! The original picture was beautiful enough, but
I wanted to create some texture in the background to add a textile look.
This is what evolved from the original. You can view the original
photo on my Redgage Site.

"Emerging"

Another one of my fine art flower edits.......This textured background was perfect for this white rose, or maybe the white rose was perfect for the textured background. No matter, they make a great digital 'marriage'.......

Spring Garden Flowers and Flourishes

VINCA VINE VARIEGATA

The variety growing in my yard has the green and white variegated leaves and beautiful little periwinkle (bluish violet) flowers. It seems like there are more blooms this year than usual.
Everytime I walk past them a different one seems to be 'screaming out' to me "take my picture". Pictured above is the first photo capture of the season, taken back on April 6th.

Double Fantasy

"DOUBLE FANTASY"

Digitally painted photo edit.

Digitally painting a photo can really enhance
an ordinary image and make it stand out.

Vase of Daisies

Digital edit of daisies photographed outdoors in available light and rendered to look like a watercolor. An overcast sky gives such a nice diffused quality of light!

Fire!

FIRE

It is amazing the designs that are within flowers and all of nature, for that matter. All you have to do is look closely. Take the time to ZOOM IN, you just might find some nice surprises. "Fire!" is a detail of some brilliantly colored late summer daisies that I digitally painted to emphasize the great designs and rich color.

Home Grown Tomatos

Yum, there is nothing like a sweet flavorful home grown tomato. Finally I have one that is almost ready to pick. I have no idea why they are taking so long. Not enough sun, maybe? There is a tree that is blocking my patio garden and they are too hard to move every day. I guess I'm going to have to figure something out for future tomatos. These are of the Beefsteak Variety, someone told me that theirs were also late in ripening. It could be the weird weather. Anyway, I can't wait to taste it. Another day or too, I want them to ripen on the vine as much as possible. Maybe I'll consult the Organic Gardening Guru for some tips. He probably knows how to grow Killer Tomatos!!!
